September 30th ~ Corn Husker

Grandma put Bailey to work husking corn for lunch - she did a great job! When are we visiting Iowa??

September 29th ~ Fountain

I've felt so guilty lately because with how sick I've felt for these last months I haven't been up to doing anything at all so poor Bailey has had to be spending the remainder of her summer at home instead of out playing and making friends like she should be. Well in the middle of these 70 degree days we got thrown another 95 degree one so I had a chance to redeem myself! We headed to a fountain by my favorite sushi restaurant that I've always meant to take her to. (We tried a few places first but seeing that's it's almost October, all the water was off!) She was pretty shy about it at first, only going close if I was holding her hand but soon she was running up to it all by herself like the water baby I know her to be - laughing and having a great time!

Sunbathing? Cracks me up how she'll just lay down and relax anywhere!

She wanted to get in and swim with these guys!

Wish I would've had a video here, she was shaking her booty like she had a song in her head! Hilarious!

She wasn't expecting the fountains on the edge to come on!

Stylin' ;-)

This girl is soo outgoing and makes friends sooo easily! These boys were so sweet to her!

Finally getting into it!

Love those curls

Heading home after almost TWO hours!

September 27th ~ Grandma & Grandpa's

We headed to my mom & dad's place today to help out. Some members of our church have been volunteering at the house and have made some amazing changes at the house to really help out my parents. First of all they cleared out TONS of brush & dead trees, etc, and put in a great fence so my mom doesn't have to worry about the goats getting out anymore. Right now they're putting in a ramp for my dad to use when he's back doing chemo again. They also recently wiped out a bunch of trees and made both driveways into ONE, complete with it going in FRONT of the house. It looks SO different! So anyways, Greg was helping today and I was, well not helping, just watching Bailey who looked like a little ragamuffin by the end of the day - she was meant to be a country girl! :-)

September 26th ~ wow

Bailey's new word is "wow". She drags it out and uses it ALL the time! This was a sing along song to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, one of her favorites. She's in love with moons right now and finds them all the time, saying "luna, moon, luna"! And now of course, "wow!"

Some pics of my cousin's kiddo in Iowa...this is Gage, he's about the same age as Bailey's cousin Cade. I can't wait for Bailey & him to meet! Isn't he a cutie? His mama did a good job with the photos too! :-)

September 25th ~ Goodbye to Gucci

Today Gucci went to go to live with a friend of Greg's from work. We're working on turning the pet & craft room into the new nursery and we don't know where else to keep Gucci's litter boxes, food, etc without Bailey getting into it. There's just not enough room here. And hopefully James will be able to give her more attention than we've been able to. She wants to be held and pet all the time and unfortunately she's not getting that here :-( It was very sad, she's been with us for 4 years now and of course I've grown very attached to her, it was hard to say good-bye. Bailey doesn't seem to notice which is normal but still a bit sad to me, just when she wakes up she'll call all of us "Mama, Dada, Joie, Maow" but that's it. Luckily because she's with a friend if I get to missing her we can always go visit :-)

September 25th ~ Help

Ok I'm feeling brave here! Uploading photos of my VERY unfinished house! I need advice!! I am missing that knack for decorating gene that it seems most girls naturally have. I am completely clueless so I'm asking for any help you're willing to give me!

Office/playroom
Needs to have the desks, well at least MINE, preferably facing out somewhere so I can keep an eye on Bailey while I'm working. I can't decide if I should do a couch & coffee table or bookshelves (with spots for baskets of toys too) with some comfy child size chairs OR with a child size table set....and a rug. And it needs some color. Suggestions?

Living room/Dining room
Well we hate that table, it needs to go, we want a lower one. Also I'm obviously still working on painting. I need some sort of window covering, better arrangement of couch -it is SO big, something on the walls, and more color.

I have such a hard time with color and this room bc of it being so many spaces in such a big room.

Also I'm thinking of French doors at the playroom too. Someday all this will be wood floors too, right Greg?? :-)

Bailey's room
Still haven't decided on wall color yet! I had a pink paint sample to do the dark pink with the light pink accents of her room. Too much pink? I have considered lime too. Or maybe just a beige. I figure she'll be getting a toddler/twin bed eventually so I don't want to get something that won't work with whatever bedding I get, kwim? I can't even figure out if I want it to be soft and girly or bright!

I'm also definately in need of a new curtain rod! :-P

And a lamp...

The girl has a bracelet obsession....

Love this! I went in to move the book but of course had to take a pic of it as this was a first :-)
