Well I'd briefly mentioned before that Greg had surgery awhile back so since more has come from that, I thought I'd go more into it. On Jan 14th, Greg went in for a cystectomy surgery. The cyst was on his tailbone so he now has a DEEP wound that I change the dressings on once a day (Although I never doubted that I knew I never wanted to be a nurse, it is now CONFIRMED, I could not hack it!!). Pretty darn painful stuff, poor guy! Because of the location & how he's had to be positioned to accommodate the pain & bandages, he's been sitting in some awful positions that no person would ever be comfortable in! He's on short term disabilty for work and since he wasn't going in until noon yesterday, he went to storytime with Bailey & I. When we got home, he went to take Bailey out of the car and COLLAPSED! He went to his knees, put Bailey down and then fell over in the middle of the street! It was definitely NO coincidence that my friend Aleisha had just stopped by & our neighbor Randall was coming home. I NEVER would've been able to get him up on my own!! They helped him into the car (he couldn't sit right so had to be backwards!) and we went to urgent care. He was basically told he had a muscle spasm, given more percocet for the pain & told it would be better in the morning. If it was not better, we were supposed to come in.

Well this morning it was WORSE not better so we went back in where they told us that in order to know which it was, we would need an MRI. However at urgent care, that would not be able to get one until Tuesday so we were directed to the ER in Newberg in order to get one that day. Back into the car! Once we got there, they got him a room, stripped him down to a robe, etc only to say they don't do that! Argh! But thankfully we were still able to find out what was wrong with Greg & get some morphine in him! He has a lumbar strain, aka he tore a muscle. Also that the previous doctor should have told him he would NOT feel better today, that it is normal to feel worse on the 2nd day. Could've saved us some co-pays & an ER visit!

So Greg's on bedrest now, not expected to be able to walk on his own until at least Tuesday, possibly Monday. Pray for him please! I told him to get all this out of his system bc I'M going to need him to help ME in April ;-)

One thing that has come from this is that Bailey & Greg have been able to spend more time together than ever and they have really gotten closer. She goes to him for snuggles way more than she used to! I love watching them together :-)

My Birthday

After church on Tuesday we went to visit my mom & take her a coffee :-)
Picked Dad up after & he took Bailey & I to lunch for my bday, no pics of that though :-(

Couldn't decide how to spend my birthday so it ended up being just a normal day, ok by me! I did make the trip to Wilsonville to get the BEST frappuccino ever! Yummy! Yes, I like my Starbucks but nothing beats this one! It's some coffee bar at the Lamb's Thriftway, not even sure the name! And unlike *$, they make it with real coffee shots & flavored syrups so I can get it decaf & change the flavor up everytime! Weird though bc I was never a frappuccino fan until being PREGNANT! lol Now I want them all the time!

And since I got a treat, I got Bailey one too! A birthday doughnut!

Dinner with my girls, the hubbies were there too but the girls just look prettier in pics :-) Amazing how once you have kids, our birthdays seem so much less important! I hadn't even THOUGHT of my birthday until both Rya & Jared were asking me what I wanted to do! Ummm...I don't know? My mind has been on getting ready for April! lol Finally just decided on a simple dinner :)

Stash

So...inspired by a blog post of an online friend of mine who is also due with a girl around the time I am, I decided to take pics of what I have for this baby...mainly so I feel like, YES, I DO have some things ready even if I don't have it ALL or the big things taken care of like I want to! I hate not having things ready and I'm trying to not let it get to me!
A lot of these clothes were Bailey's so I have no idea if they'll fit in the right season!

So glad I kept my wrap & slings! These are the preemie/0-7 lb outfits I have. I took 0-3 month sizes to the hospital when Bailey was born and she was SWIMMING in them! (like Bailey's foot there in the pic? She was my helper!)

Rya & Brezlin

I scheduled myself a much needed break today! Course I spent the whole time on my feet so i'm not sure if it counts as a break but I wasn't taking care of anybody so it works for me! Left Bailey at home with Greg for a few hours and spent some time with Rya & cutie Brezlin. I NEVER get to see Rya anymore & I need to fix that!

Salem day

Bailey had her 2 yr appointment today! We met Brittanie & Carsyn earlier in the day to do some resale shopping.. I've been seriously stressing out about how little I have ready for this baby (due in ELEVEN weeks! eeek!) so getting some newborn sized clothes felt REALLY good! Why on earth I didn't get any pics of Carsyn & Bailey is beyond me though! We really need to go visit them more often, the girls would have so much fun together. And I ADORE Brittanie! Gramma went with us and took us out to lunch at Jack Rabbit Cafe afterwards. Yummiest chicken salad ever by the way! Thank you Gramma! And they have the cutest gifts, very Corky's Daughter like, I'll have to hit up THAT shop next time I'm in town!
